Dear Employers: People Don’t Want to Work for Starvation Wages

ADMIN: “Employers enjoy no statutory or constitutional right to cheap labor, period. It’s no coinicidence there is no shortage of skilled professional workers because their wages are more closely aligned to the cost-of-living in 2021; whereas prior to the pandemic, employers paid unskilled workers sub-par wages that fell far short of the cost-of-living in 2020. Capitalism means if you cannot afford to offer and pay workers enough wages to meet the cost-of-living in 2021, then you have no business. Sounds like capitalism to me. Dear confederate-state business owners: the Master-Slave relationship dissolved a long time ago.”

Dear Media/Moderate Democrats: Can you please stop trying to help resurrect the GOP and give them a decent burial instead?

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) speaks during a press conference at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. on May 12, 2021 following her ouster as chair of the House Republican Conference.

Try not to cry too hard for Liz Cheney OR the dead GOP party. Remember, Liz Cheney is like her Dad, Dick Cheney who still wants to know how did our oil get underneath their sand?

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Donald J. Trump for: 1) destroying the old school Republican Party; 2) destroying the “new” Trumpcentric Republican Party’s chances of ever winning back the White House,

Sen. Joe Manchin Won’t Support “For The People Act”

May 12, 2021
CNN POLITICS

Washington, DC (CNN) West Virginia Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin will not back the sweeping elections and campaign finance overhaul sought by Democrats to blunt Republican state-level efforts to restrict voting access, a spokeswoman for Sen. Manchin confirmed Wednesday. He suggested instead pushing legislation that would have a narrower scope as the path forward.

The major voting rights package, called the For the People Act, would mandate 15 days of early voting, allow same-day voter registration and limit states’ ability to curb mail-in voting and the use of ballot boxes.

It also rewrites federal campaign finance

Why “Fundamental Conservative Principles” Are Bull$%^&

I’m sick and tired of hearing media pundits and GOPers drone on and on about the need to “return to fundamental conservative principles.”

The fact is, in 2021 a majority of voters do not want to return to what Republicans call “fundamental conservative principles.”

Let’s take a look at those so-called fundamental conservative principles:

1) True conservatives support small government and abhor big government;

FACT: A majority of Americans want and support bigger, stronger federal government.

2) True conservatives support fiscal responsibility;

FACT: Conservatives support extra small budget dollars (faux fiscal responsibility) for Democrats and support wild MASSIVE UNRESTRAINED SPENDING … Read the rest

Biden calls Bernie privately to check in on the left wing, report says

*The New York Times reports that Joe Biden makes private calls to Bernie Sanders to “collect ideas.”

*The former primary campaign rivals have worked closely together since Biden’s election.

*Sanders has supported Biden since the $1.9 trillion stimulus — because their agenda is largely shared.

President Joe Biden makes private phone calls to Sen. Bernie Sanders to hear from the left of his party, according to a New York Times report.

It’s an unlikely turn of events for two fierce rivals from last fall’s primary campaign from opposite wings of the Democratic Party, but another piece of evidence that Biden’s

Tesla Found Guilty of Unionbusting

Mar 26, 2021 by Kris LaGrange

The National Labor Review Board says Elon Musk threatened workers and fired one for union organizing

In 2018, Tesla CEO Elon Musk wrote on Twitter “Nothing stopping Tesla team at our car plant from voting union. Could do so tmrw if they wanted. Now three years later, the board has found that Musk not only violated federal labor law with that tweet but that he also … Read the rest

Third Round of Coronavirus Relief Checks Led to Largest Monthly Rise in Household Income Since 1959

April 30, 2021
by Julia Conley – Common Dreams

“This is what happens when you opt for investing in working people over trickle-down economics.”

The third round of coronavirus relief checks, which have been sent to 159 million households so far, were directly linked to an historic rise in household income, according to reporting by the Wall Street Journal.

Household income rose 21.1% in March after President Joe Biden signed the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package into law, following months of stonewalling by Republicans, who spent much of 2020 claiming that additional aid to help families struggling to pay for

Israeli PM urges Biden to keep Trump’s sanctions on International Criminal Court to stave off war crimes investigation – media

24 Feb, 2021

Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly urged US President Joe Biden to maintain his predecessor’s sanctions against the International Criminal Court, arguing that even if he disagrees with them, the US and Israel must stick together.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu personally called up Biden last week to request he keep the Trump administration’s sanctions against the International Criminal Court (ICC) in place, lest the court launch its long-threatened war crimes investigation into Tel Aviv’s atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank, Axios reported on Wednesday.

A failure to maintain those sanctions could be interpreted by ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda

The Problem of U.S. Cybersecurity

When it comes to cyber attacks, the U.S. government pretends to be as innocent as “Little Miss Riding Hood”

For decades the U.S. government has been hacking and spying into foreign government systems to disrupt, destroy networks and steal data.

Recently victims of U.S. government cyber attacks assembled into a single large coalition of computer scientists who executed the most sophisticated cyber attack ever performed.

Officially the U.S. blames Russia for the attack.

The US is readying sanctions against Russia over the SolarWinds cyber attack. Here’s a simple explanation of how the massive hack happened and why it’s such a
